“Pinot
Gris suddenly has caught on with many
wine drinkers. But, while many versions
either lack fruit concentration or are
too oaky, more are coming to market with
excellent flavor and balance, like this
2002 Pavi. Made from 100% Pinot Gris,
the grapes for this wine were whole cluster
pressed, 95% tank fermented, ages on the
lees for four months, and saw no malolactic
fermentation. The result is delicious.”
Five Star Spotlight:
“Wonderful Pinot Gris: extremely
fruity character, supple texture, and well
balanced; a wine tasting of apple, lemon
grass, lemon peel, and toast.”

Husband-and-wife team, Pavi Micheli Lawson and Rob
Lawson founded PAVI WINES in 1998. Rob is third
generation in the wine industry and is a wine business consultant
and former CEO of Napa Wine Company. The combination
of Rob’s knowledge of winemaking and Pavi’s passion
for her Italian heritage was the inspiration behind the creation
of PAVI WINES and the idea to grow and produce classic Italian
varietals in California. Production is currently limited
to just under 6000 cases of Pinot Grigio, Dolcetto, Sangiovese,
Cabernet and a Vin Santo.
A
new addition to the Pavi family is the release of our new
Italian Pinot Grigio. Grown and produced in the Venezie region
of northern Italy, this wine is a perfect compliment to its
California cousin, Pavi Napa Valley.
PAVI WINES continues to be a leader of premium Italian varietals
from California, emphasizing the marriage of the old and new
worlds to represent a true diversity unique to the Napa Valley.
